Scholarship Background and Intent

Virginia, lovingly known as Ginny, is a well-known real estate professional and figure in rural communities in the region. Ginny grew up on a farm in Beloit, Wisconsin, and her passion for agriculture continued as she sold livestock to get herself through college. She currently leverages that understanding to donate to local nonprofits. Being from a rural community and having someone close to her who lives with a mental illness, she is keenly aware of the lack of mental health professionals/services. Ginny's vision is to support students pursuing a career in the mental health field and bring skills to rural regions of our community.
