Scholarship Background and Intent
The Rockton Lions Club and its members have been serving the area since 1938. The intent of both the Dr. Loomis Scholarship and the Rockton Lions Club Scholarship is to support a graduating senior who has dedicated themselves to a high level of achievement and community service.
The Rockton Lions of Rockton, IL have been serving the state-line area since 1938, and we aren't slowing down any time soon! With a large membership, we have many local fund-raisers and service projects such as Candy Day, Flower Day, Christmas Auction, delivering Wimpy's Fund gifts, hearing screening, blood drives, providing eyeglasses to area children, downtown planting projects, and Old Settlers Days to name a few. The profits from the fundraisers are funneled directly back into our community, serving the needs of other organizations and individuals, while focusing on sight and sound-related disabilities.
Would you like to support the Rockton Lions Club Scholarship? You can make a donation directly to this fund, to help grow its impact and ability to provide educational resources for students in our community — forever!
