Scholarship Background and Intent

Throughout the past 70 years, the women of the Winnebago County Medical Society Alliance made a  significant impact on improving the health and well-being of the people in and around Winnebago County and spearheaded the creation of the Rockford Health Careers Foundation.

The foundation's mission was to improve the health of our community by providing scholarships to individuals seeking degrees in healthcare within our local community. Over the course of the last 68 years, the foundation has provided scholarships to aspiring nurses, doctors, radiology technicians, and others pursuing healthcare-related education.
