Jeremiah Development Launches Small Engine Repair Program with Support of CFNIL Community Grant
CFNIL staff had the privilege of visiting Jeremiah Development and presenting a check for $20,000 which will support Jeremiah HELPS / Small Engine Repair, a new skills training program which will launch this spring. This grant was made through CFNIL's Community Grants program with support from the Barber-Colman Management Fund.
We believe the Barber-Colman Managers who established that fund would be very pleased that their gift is now helping provide mechanical and business-skills training for residents in west Rockford, just blocks from the Barber-Colman campus. This program if fortunate to also have the support of Second Congregational UCC/First Presbyterian Church of Rockford who are providing garage space for the classes.
Volunteers are needed to help mentor class participants. Learn more and support this Great Work at http://jeremiahdevelopment.org!
