Community Grant to Polo Library supports 2021 Outdoor Concert Series
The Polo community has another reason to look forward to summer: starting May 22nd the Polo Public Library will host the third-annual Outdoor Concerts at the Polo Library Pavilion series!
This year the Outdoor Concerts will be supported in part thanks to a $3,000 grant awarded by the Community Arts & Humanities Fund of the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois’ Community Grants Program. Enjoy this Community Grant in action one Saturday each month in May, June, and July.
There is a great lineup for the third year of Outdoor Concerts at the Polo Library Pavilion. The series kicks off with Lyle Grobe & the Rhythm Ramblers playing country classics on May 22nd. Local acoustic band Burn N’ Bush will play on June 19th, coinciding with Polo Town & Country Days. July 10th is Espinosa & Coffey who play acoustic covers of old and new favorites. Wrapping up the concert series this year will be Turas, an Irish/Celtic band from the Peoria area.
There will be yard games and fun activities for kids of all ages starting at 5pm and the music will start at 6pm. Everyone in the community is invited to bring a lawn chair down to Polo Library and enjoy the music! Find more information at pololibrary.org or by calling the Polo Library at 815-946-2713.
