CFNIL will accept applications for the Carroll H. Starr Endowment Challenge from May 30 to July 9, 2018.
The first Carroll H. Starr Endowment Challenge was offered by the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois in 2001. Through the Challenge, CFNIL matches $1 for every $3 raised by 501(c)(3) organizations to build permanent endowments. Once established, the permanent endowments provide the grantee with a perpetual revenue stream for the organization and entice donors to make long-term commitments and legacy gifts. Carroll H. Starr co-founded CFNIL in 1953 and served the organization until his death in 1963.
