The Community Foundation of Northern Illinois (CFNIL) is pleased to announce the 2025 DKG Mini-Grant recipients. The DKG Mini-Grant program was established by the Zeta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, whose members are women educators from Boone and Winnebago Counties. It is funded by two endowments established in memory of local educators and Zeta members Blanche J. Martin and Lana P. Smith.

Jefferson, a dedicated public servant, mentor, and community leader. Today, as we enter Pride Month 2024, CFNIL is honored to announce a new endowment. Andrew Mertzenich, local attorney and Chair of the Rockford Pride Parade Committee, has established an endowment with the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois to support the Rockford Area Pride Parade FOREVER!This fund supports the activities of the Rockford Area Pride Committee, with priority given to Rockford Area Pride Parade expenses.Should the Pride Parade cease to operate, the fund balance will be used to establish a scholarship fund for LGBTQIA+ students.
