Mark your calendars for Friday evening, September 16th, when an exclusive art event will be held at a secret location (to be announced just prior to the event!) in downtown Rockford. The free event is hosted by the Deborah Newton Legacy Project and will feature a LIVE webcast auction by Kitson Auctioneering and will feature multiple works, many of which have been hidden from public view since their creation.

Attendees and web viewers are invited to register early with the independent provider Hibid.com to allow accurate, and anonymous bidding. The paintings are being auctioned solely to fund the Deborah L. Newton Legacy Endowment, which will provide art-making experiences to chosen Rockford area 7th and 8th grade students (and active regional artists) through the Rockford Art Museum in perpetuity.

The endowment is managed by the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois.

The Deborah Newton Legacy Project is operated by the immediate family of Deborah Newton who have also established the Deborah L. Newton Legacy Endowment. through the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois, a 501(c)3 organization.
