The No Idle Zone is a local grassroots, collaborative effort aimed at promoting the message that un-necessary idling of a vehicle wastes gas, costs money, and pollutes the air.  Funded by a grant from the Dr. Louis and Violet Rubin Fund of the Community Foundation, the effort reminds people to turn off vehicle engines when picking up or dropping off passengers, especially school children.
