Kjellstrom Women’s Scholarship Initiative
Purpose:
To assist deserving women who demonstrate a desire to develop personally and professionally. Scholarships will be awarded to women entering or re-entering the workforce or changing, advancing or enhancing their careers.
Criteria:
Female resident of the Rockford area who has a high school diploma (or equivalent) and has successfully completed at least three full years of work experience, community service or a combination of both. Applicants with non-traditional backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Recipients of the Athena Award and their families are not eligible to apply.
The review committee will consider the following criteria:
* Educational goals
* Professional goals
* Community service
* Financial need
* Intended use of scholarship funds
* Tireless devotion to the pursuit of higher education despite obstacles
Deadline: March 1st
Application Instructions:
To apply for this scholarship, you must complete an online application and submit a packet of additional materials in hard copy. Both of these components MUST be RECEIVED by the March 1st deadline. Incomplete and late applications will not be accepted.
